Ten Good Ways To Walk In Wisdom


1.) Be in the Word of God
Proverbs 2:1-2,5
1 My son, if you accept my words 
   and store up my commands within you, 
2 turning your ear to wisdom 
   and applying your heart to understanding—
5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD 
   and find the knowledge of God.

2.) Pray for Wisdom.
James 1:5
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

3.) Acknowledge the Lord in everything.
Proverbs 3:6
6 in all your ways submit to him, 
   and he will make your paths straight.

4.) Walk in reverence of God.
Proverbs 9:10
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, 
   and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

5.) Listen to wise people.
Proverbs 22:17-18
 17 Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise; 
   apply your heart to what I teach,
18 for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart 
   and have all of them ready on your lips.

6.) Value wisdom above all.
Proverbs 4:5-6
5 Get wisdom, get understanding; 
   do not forget my words or turn away from them. 
6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; 
   love her, and she will watch over you.


7.) Walk in obedience.
Proverbs 2:7    
7 He holds success in store for the upright, 
   he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,

8.) Be humble.
Proverbs 11:2
2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, 
   but with humility comes wisdom.

9.) Love your neighbour.
Proverbs 11:12
12 Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense, 
   but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.


10.) Seek the wisdom of God, not the wisdom of the world.
1 Corinthians 1:30  
30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

1 Corinthians 1:20-21
20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

1) Refuse to be ANXIOUS

  John 16:33

    33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

        your consolation brought me joy.

2) Refuse to be ruled by ANGER

Ephesians 4:26-27

26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

  22 An angry person stirs up conflict, 
    and a hot-tempered person commits many sins.

3) Refuse to be DISSATISFIED

Philippians 4:11-13

11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.


4) Refuse to be ENVIOUS

James 3:16-17

16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.


5) Refuse to be DEPRESSED

Many people of the Bible understood what depression feels like:
Psalm 6:6-7
 6 I am worn out from my groaning.
     All night long I flood my bed with weeping 
     and drench my couch with tears. 
7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow; 
   they fail because of all my foes.
Psalm 69:20
20 Scorn has broken my heart 
      and has left me helpless; 
      I looked for sympathy, but there was none, 
      for comforters, but I found none.
Psalm 119:28
28 My soul is weary with sorrow; 
        strengthen me according to your word.
  • The good news is that God doesn't want us to live with these feelings.
Psalm 6:8-9
 8 Away from me, all you who do evil, 
    for the LORD has heard my weeping. 
9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; 
    the LORD accepts my prayer.

6) Refuse to be BITTER

Acts 8:23
23 For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.”
Psalm 13:2
2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts 
    and day after day have sorrow in my heart? 
    How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Hebrews 12:15
15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile      many.
  • Pray to God to set you free from bitterness.
7) Refuse to be HOPELESS

  Proverbs 22:5
 5 In the paths of the wicked are snares and pitfalls, 
        but those who would preserve their life stay far from them.

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

My Very Own Beverly Hill Chihuahua

The sight of dogs makes me wanna own them all! Really! Seriously! I have a heart for dogs. I myself don't know why I so love these four-legged creation of God. It melts my heart seeing them licking their feet and trying to sleep so soundly on a floor. 

I have a female american chihuahua. My Papa got this for me 8 years ago. She is the cutest, smartest and loving pooch I have ever had. She is so dear to me. She now lives with my Mama since I can't let her live with me and my husband. My husband has the allergies.

a truly happy wife

I have been married for more than 7 months now. How I wish I have done this years ago. I never knew it would be this good! But then again, God's timing is the perfect one. I have never been happier in my entire life. Having a good, loving and God-fearing husband makes me feel so secure in life. I could not ask for more. I thank God everyday for giving me Res Fuentes.
